Los Angeles, California based Contemporary Designer, Alexandra Von Furstenberg created Alexandra Von Furstenberg, LLC the brand in 2007, to create luxurious, innovative, modern furniture and home accessories made of acrylic. She originally began by designing acrylic tables inspired by faceted gems, for her personal home, and then realized there was a market for her designs. Following her passion, she launched her first designs, a collection of acrylic neon tables, in March of 2008 and then expanded the collection to include Jewel Tones and Neutrals. Soon after AVF Accessories were added to the collection and include a variety of accessories like trays, bowls, vases and an expansive variety of tabletop accessories. All the collections of acrylic furniture and home accessories continue to grow and evolve with new colors and pieces added each year.

Designer Alexandra von Furstenberg was raised and educated early on in Asia, the US and Europe.  She later attended Parsons School of Design and Brown University, where she studied costume design and art history. In 1995, Alexandra joined the design team of her then mother-in-law, Diane Von Furstenberg. During her ten-year career at DVF as Creative Director and later as Director of Image, Alexandra was instrumental in the re-launch of the iconic wrap dress as well as reinforcing the relevance of this American brand.

After relocating to Los Angeles in 2005, Alexandra focused on designing exclusively for the home. A synthesis of art, home furnishings and fashion, the collection consists of signed pieces made out of acrylic – a nod to the 1970s when acrylic was widely regarded as the material of the future.

Alexandra’s collection is available at her eponymous new showroom at 300 N Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069.
